The Importance of a Squeeze Page and Autoresponder

December 6th, 2010 posted by admin

When trying to build your online business, two things that can be quite effective are the use of autoresponders and squeeze pages.

A squeeze page is a simple one page website that grabs the visitor’s attention and captures their information such as their name, email address and phone number through an opt in form. For the squeeze page to be effective, it should be short, sweet and simple while either offering the visitor a sort of incentive to fill out their information or by creating curiosity or excitement where as they will want to fill out their information.

A visitor will either enter their information in the opt in form because your squeeze page alone interested them or because they want the free incentive so they are still a targeted lead.

Now, for a squeeze page to be very effective, you should hook up an autoresponder to it. This way, not only will you get your lead’s information when they fill out your opt in form, but they will also begin to receive a set of emails that you have created which will give them information on your online business. This way, if they don’t join your team right away, they will still receive emails from you and might decide later on to join. It has been said that typically a person needs to see a “business opportunity"at least 7 times before they decide to join. This is why having an autoresponder is effective and important.

Once you have a squeeze page and autoresponder hooked up, it is time to promote it. Places to do that include:

* Blogs
* Forum posting
* Blog commenting
* Social Network Sites
* Online Classifieds
* Article writing

It doesn’t matter if your online business is selling military insurance or candles, having an effective squeeze page and autoresponder is a must for gathering up targeted leads for it.
